George Bell Appointed President of CSC's Asia Operations

Mike Brinsford Moves to Europe

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) announced today that George Bell, 52, has been appointed President of CSC's Asia Group, effective Sept. 1. Bell previously served as President of CSC's European Group. He will continue to report to CSC President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Laphen.

Mike Brinsford, 55, current President of Asia Group, will move to a senior executive position in CSC's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations. He led Asia operations for the past four years.

"George Bell brings an impressive record of experience and results in Australia and Europe to this position," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Van B. Honeycutt. "We anticipate further success for George and CSC in the expanding Asian market."

Bell joined CSC in 1998 as Managing Director of the company's Australian operations following a career with IBM. He has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry, including a number of executive management, marketing and general management positions. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a master's degree in business management from the Durham University Business School, both located in the United Kingdom.

Brinsford previously served as President of strategic development for CSC's Financial Services Group (FSG) and President of FSG's European operations. He joined CSC in 1996 when the company acquired Continuum and held senior management positions in Europe with Continuum, ICOT Corporation and Raytheon. He is a fellow of the Institute of Cost Management Accountants.
